Brick Paintings

Paint them and stack them as you go

a heavy tower of art.

June 17

Peanut Butter Towers

“Back by popular demand” build the pyramid bigger and better using saltines and peanut butter- not as easy as you think, but fun to eat as you work.

(Need to know about allergies to peanut butter)

June 22 

Draw using your toes

Yes, that’s right. Let’s see if you have the coordination to tell your toes to draw! If that doesn’t work we will use our hands- opposites of course, just to challenge you

Plaster hands and feet

You are never too old to do castings of your hands and feet. The director will also bring in some interesting items to cast into fossils?

June 24

Sand Art

Directors Favorite
Have some fun with colored sand, glue and large heavy poster board. Layers of glue and multi-colored sand makea work of art for all to appreciate.

June 29 

Play dough as art

You will learn to make different colors of the soft gooey stuff, which will be used to create your own interpretation of a sculpture. Yes, you get to take them home to bake, so nothing larger than an oven!

June 30 

Shoebox art

Take the nature trip around the gallery (outside) to find interesting objects to bring inside. You will re-create the outside objects inside the shoebox.  Sound confusing? Come check out how things look from the inside out.

July 1 

Decorate your wagon, bike, or chair for the 4th July

We will have a supply of steamers poster board paints pop cans and string plus much more to turn your July 4th mode of transportation or chair into something unique and eye catching. Bring in your objects to be decorated.  You can enter your transportation creation in the July 3rd parade.
